2 months to go :)

Well ladies and gentleman, the months have flown by and we are at a little more than two months to go :) So frigging excited I can barely contain my joy. I had my fitting two weeks ago and trial hair and makeup which went wonderfully. This weekend in my shower and super excited to see all my friends and family. Going to feel weird to have the spot light on me but I guess I better get used to it. I feel like I have been doing so much lately with the wedding. All the finer details have to be done at the end unfortunately.

Invitations have been sent and people are slowly responding. I think something like 30 out of the 80 of you have responded so get on it! LOL Just kidding you have plenty of time. My bachelorette party is coming up at the beginning of May as well and so is our final meeting with DJ, photographer, and officiant. Our officiant is wonderful and our ceremony is going to be the best wedding ceremony ever :)

Well I am busy doing other things so I must go. I wonder if the next time I come on here how close I will be ?? Super excited, wedding, wedding wedding here I come......

5 and a half to go

So, it is December. I should be excited but I am teetering on the edge of excited and nervous. I still feel like I have a lot to do for the wedding and so little time to do it in. I have to wait to the New Year to do a bunch of it so maybe once that rolls around I will feel a little bit better. I have lost about 7 pounds so far and hope to continue at this pace and by the wedding lost somewhere around 21 pounds. I think it is possible. I took my dress out the other day and realized it does look quite large. But oh well....bigger is better than too small.

Thanksgiving is over and it makes me kind of sad. Every year it seems like it just flies by, I hope that doesn't happen with the wedding. But then again it will be here before I know it and then it will be over. I am excited about Hank's Company Christmas party and being off for like 6 days at the end of the month.

Well, nothing much else to report. I cut my hair again even though I thought I would not. It needed it and recently has been on a growing kick. The New Year will bring new hope hopefully and some new little ones. :)

So lately I have had the urge to pull out my hair. Mainly due to the fact that I find myself with a lot of time on my hands but unfortunately I cannot do much. Some of the appointments I want to make I cannot make till the new year. So I sit around waiting till the clock hits 2009 so that I can call and schedule an appointment. There is so much that you really can't help but wait till the last minute to do. Hank and the boys are lucky. I called the tux place to schedule a fitting and they were like you should wait till a month before the wedding. Seriously. A month. Where I have to schedule my fitting in February just to insure that all the alterations are made in time. Crazy, the men do none of the work and reap all the rewards ....bah.

So i sit here planning a way in my head waiting for the next appointment to roll around and hoping I have all my shit together in six months. Six months. That is all that is left folks ..well and two days. Christmas and Thanksgiving are right around the corner and so is my 25th birthday. 25...I feel older than that though. Hank and I also celebrate 7 years in March. It really doesn't feel like that long either but it has been.

A Tad Frustrated

Okay so I thought we finally found a baker. Two weeks after the appointment I can't get anyone at the shop to return my damn call. I broke down and even tried to communicate via email today. Sucks. I am not going to hire you if I can't even get you to pick up the damn phone so that I can hire you. Looks like I might be tasting even MORE cake .....which isn't helping me loose weight.

On that note, I have been working out furiously for the past month and I think it is paying off. Hopefully by the wedding I can shed about 15-20 pounds more. I know that sounds excessive but I am building a lot of muscle too so my goal is not to be a leaf but I just want to be fit you know it is about time.

What else? The wedding is getting very close. 6 months is going to fly by, I just know it. I just hope when the big day does come I have all my ducks in a row and it will be smooth sailing. I Only get one day so I intend to enjoy it.

Cake, Money, Wedding OH MY!

So, after five different cake decorators, I think I finally found one that I like. Let me preface my cake escapades by saying that I think someone had it out for us or something. The two cake people I visited did not even show up. One of them even rescheduled and then didn't show up, How RUDE! But alas I think I have found one that tastes good and looks great. Our cake will look something like this one. But the ribbons will be our colors and a square cake not oval.

Does anyone read this ...ever?? OH well I guess this is my therapy. I think I am going to go crazy before the wedding. There is just so much too do and everything is EXPENSIVE. I hope be under out 10 grand limit, that would be amazing but things are just adding up and the bank accounts are getting smaller. Money. It sucks.

So with a little 6mnths and 21 days to go I am sweating like crazy! I did buy favors today and I will be sending out invitations by the end of the month. I am nervous about the invitations. I am afraid I will mess them up or something....bites nails.

I hope that someone reads this...one day. At least it will be a record of all my hard work.

Wedding blues......there should be a song called that. I don't know how people spend millions on their wedding days, they are out of their minds!!!!!!

Getting in Shape

So I recently joined a gym and I am absolutely determined to be in great shape for the wedding. I have always wanted to really tone my muscles and shed some poundage but now I am actually doing it. I hate waking up so early but once I am at the gym it feels great to be there.

Now I just need to get Hank to come along....

In other news, Hank's mom has booked the rehearsal dinner at this awesome restaurant in Virginia Beach. We had Melissa's rehearsal there and the food was amazing.

The weeks are going by fast now and it is getting cold. I keep trying to do everything I can think of this far out. Soon I will make up the invitations and send them out around Christmas time if all goes accordingly.

Yay!

So mission accomplished, this weekend I found bridesmaid dresses that I loved and a possible cake decorator. The bridesmaid dresses come in all my colors, they don't cost a fortune, and the girls look great fabulous!

We have a little over seven months to go and it is crazy. I made my first fitting appointment for February and I know that seems far away but it is really is not. I am getting a lot of things done but now I realize why people who have the money hire a wedding planner. Because planning the wedding is my part time job now. However, if you have the time I say plan your day yourself, yes it is stressful but at least you will get what you want and when things don't go according to plan you get to bitch the people out :)
